Its textured white finish also helps reflect heat, ensuring optimal performance even in hot climates. The antenna’s perimeter seal provides an IP54 rating, protecting it from dust and water splashes.

Engineering prototypes of the A3042 were already shown earlier this year to gather market feedback, and incorporate this into the the final design. The new antenna will be launched for the first time at the Wireless IoT tomorrow 2024.

Daniel Eisen: The A3042 includes built-in anti-static protection, which helps prevent electrostatic discharge from damaging the antenna or connected RFID equipment. This protection is crucial for maintaining long-term reliability, especially in environments prone to static electricity.

5. The A3042 offers both right-hand and left-hand circular polarization. Why is this important for RFID accuracy?
Daniel Eisen: Circular polarization is key for accurate RFID readings because it improves tag detection, regardless of the tag’s orientation. Offering both Left and Right handed models allows the antenna to be deployed in large multi-reader portal installations without the worry of creating nulls in the read zone.
The antenna is really a game-changer for high-density environments. Especially when it comes to asset-level tracking, warehousing environments, and with dock doors. Development of the antenna started around May this year. This image shows the configuration of the dock door antenna.
